Question: What is the westcoast SpineCare decompression program?

Answer: The Westcoast SpineCare Clinic Decompression Program is a spinal rehabilitation program that consists of the FDA cleared non-surgical Spinal Decompression therapy that focuses on decompressing the discs, to reverse bulging and to take the pressure off the nerves. It includes mechanical joint evaluations and if necessary, manual manipulations to improve joint mobility and decrease uneven loading of forces on the spine. Soft tissue therapy is also often provided to ease soft tissue tension. As the spinal conditions improve and are ready for physical rehabilitation, SpineForce is implemented to strengthen the core and to protect the spine from reinjury. Ancillary care may include suggestions in the use of back support braces and in nutrition.

Question: What kind of conditions does the decompression program treat?

Answer: Disc problems of many varieties such as bulging discs, herniated discs or ruptured and protruding discs of degenerated discs, facet joint syndrome, and sciatica.

Question: What are my chances for success?

Answer: Excellent! Only patients we truly feel we can help are accepted into the westcoast SpineCare Clinic Spinal Decompression Program.

Question: How long does the treatment take?

Answer: Each Spinal Decompression session requires approximately 45 minutes. The average length of time a patient is under Spinal Decompression therapy ranges from 4-6 weeks. Each SpineForce reconditioning session requires approximately 30 minutes. The average length of time a patient is under SpineForce therapy ranges from 4-8 weeks.

Question: Does the treatment offer a permanent relief?

Answer: Our approach is to strive for permanent relief, and with successful reconditioning, a long lasting outcome can be achieved.

Question: Can I use SpineForce Therapy even if I don't have a disc problem?

Answer: Absolutely. About 80% of chronic low back problems can be attributed to weaken core muscles. Not only can SpineForce be used to strengthen the core, but also improve balance and coordination.

Question: What does SpineForce treat?

Answer: The SpineForce is the only FDA cleared technology in the world that has been designed to three dimensionally target and strengthen all 180 deep core muscles. It can be used in a rehabilitative form to treat back pain, retrain muscles post-operatively, or it can be used to enhance athletic performance.

Effectiveness of treatments varies from patient to patient.

FACTS to KNOW

What are Doctors saying about Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy?

"There is a place for surgery, but definitely not at the front line. Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy should be a frontline treatment for chronic back pain patients suffering from bulging, herniated, or degenerative disc disease, and facet syndrome.

As a surgeon, I only want to do surgery when I absolutely have to. Spinal Decompression Therapy gives my patients a more conservative treatment option that can eliminate the need for surgery altogether, and that's a very good thing.

Spinal Decompression Therapy also gives me a treatment option for those patients who have had surgery and have a relapse or experience a return of pain following surgery. It allows me to offer patients a key, non-surgical weapon in the war on back pain."

Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon
Founding Dean and Provost of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Vallejo, CA

"As an interventional pain physician, I feel that Spinal Decompression Therapy has filled a void in our continuum of treatment for those patients suffering from back and neck pain associated with disc pathology. The majority of the other procedure I perform, such as injections and nerve blocks, treat the pain due to tissue and nerve irritation, which only reduce the patients' pain.

My enthusiasm for Spinal decompression Therapy stems from the fact that it it the only therapy that scientifically attempts to heal and "rejuvenate" the discs. My personal experience with this non-invasive therapy is that qualified patients will show improvement within the first few treatments."

Juan J. Gargiulo MD -Southampton, NY East End Pain Management

"Neurologists like myself have long known that we should do everything possible to help our patients avoid back surgery. Now with Spinal decompression Therapy we finally have a very effective way to treat back pain without surgery. The vast majority of even our worst cases experience significant, long-lasting relief if they complete the entire treatment regimen. Anyone who says this is experimental doesn't know what they're talking about." Orlando Maldonado MD -Bradenton, FL "We have treated thousands of patients who have experienced long term, pain free healing because of decompression therapy.

With non-surgical decompression we offer real modification of the patient's disc disease processes and rehabilitation of the neuropathic and mechanical symptoms, rather than just offering palliative care. I use it for myself and it is worth its weight in gold."
